Financial Assistance and Counseling

The full-time social worker at The Denver Clinic for Extremities at Risk assists patients by helping patients understand their insurance benefits as they are related to the treatment they will receive.  For patients without coverage, the social worker works to help the patient find coverage if possible and connecting the patient with hospital financial counselors to assess financial impact of care.  In addition, the social worker assists patients and families with counseling as necessary during the treatment process.
