Table saw injuries are common replant service referrals. This case demonstrates a patient who severly injured his hand using a table saw. The case study demonstrated the extent of injury and surgical intervention. The following images are very graphic related to the degree of injury.
This picture was taken in the operating room prior to starting surgery. This shows the palm side of the hand with the ring finger nearly amputated severe lacerations of the index, ring and small fingers.
Intra-operative picture showing the back of the hand. There is a severe laceration through his small and ring fingers.
Post operative picture showing the coverage on the palm of his hand. The fingers were reattached and a skin graft was taken from his wrist to cover the palm of his hand.
Picture taken 8 months after the injury. He has good grip strength although the ring finger is a bit stiff as he forms a fist.
