How our Program Works

Our referral coordinator can assist with making an appointment to see one of our physicians. The coordinator will request that you get your radiology images (X-rays, MRIs and CT scans) as well as your medical records so we have as much information about your situation as possible.

You will see the specialists needed for your situation.  Some people need to see only the orthopedic surgeon, others might need to see an orthopedic surgeon, plastic surgeon, rehabilitation medicine specialist and infectious disease consultant. We will set up your appointments in the most efficient a manner as possible, assuring you see the physicians within hours of each other, not days or weeks.

Team Approach to the Limb in Jeopardy

Once you have been seen by the appropriate physicians, your case will be discussed with our team to develop the best treatment plan for you. Our multidisciplinary team meets weekly, getting opinions from the physicians recognized as regional experts in treating bone healing problems.  After the team meets the physicians will discuss the team's suggestions with you.
