| Spinal Cord Stimulation Research Study |
|
The physicians of the Denver Clinic have developed a research protocol to study the efficacy of spinal cord stimulation for phantom limb pain. The protocol requires the placement of a temporary stimulator for 3 weeks and analyzes the amputee's pain relief to varying levels of stimulation. The attempt is to provide an alternative to narcotic pain medications that an amputee might require.
