Dr. Cindy Kelly's emphasis at The Denver Clinic for Extremities at Risk is bone and soft tissue tumors in all age groups, as well as osteonecrosis (avascular necrosis of the bone). She is nationally recognized for her work on surgical procedures for treating osteonecrosis and continues to do research and has published widely on bone and soft tissue tumors. She is also a member of Colorado Limb Consultants. Dr. Kelly was named a "Top surgeon" by the Consumer Research Council of America in 2002.

Ronald R. Hugate, MD

thumb_R.Hugate_2011.pDr. Hugate is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in orthopedic oncology, bone healing, complex joint replacement and reconstruction and hip preservation. He is a member both of The Denver Clinic for Extremities at Risk as well as Colorado Limb Consultants. Dr. Hugate is a lieutenant colonel in the U.S Army Reserve Medical Corps and has been deployed in both Iraq and Afghanistan for which he received two Army commendations. He has published several scientific articles and book chapters on topics including chemotherapies for bone tumors, joint replacement implant design and reconstruction techniques of the skeleton after tumors have been resected. He has co-written a handbook for patients considering hip or knee replacements: "The Handbook of Hip and Knee Joint Replacement: Through the Eyes of the Patient, Surgeon and Medical Team."
