The Taylor Spatial FrameTM is an external fixation device used for treatment of deformities. It fits around a patient's affected limb and is attached to the bone with pins that extend from the ring, passing through the soft tissue of the limb, and into the bone. A surgeon is able to make adjustments to the frame as the person's healing process takes place, enabling corrections as the bone heals.
Oftentimes there is a bone deficit that must be filled for healing to occur. The frame enables the surgeon to slowly correct for the length of the bone, |
